Today I fitted the door straps from Super Automotive Accessories. They add a nice little pop of colour to the interior, and are practical - easier access to the cupholders and more cabin room.
Very pleased with them ![]()

Oh and I also joined the club too ![]()
Got my member’s pack in the post today ![]()
Also the legend Jack from SuperAutomotive sent me the .stl file for the cap for the door straps. This means I can print a new one to replace one I cracked.
Of course this also means I could do them in red perhaps, or use a different build plate to get a carbon fibre effect finish on the top of the cap. Need to experiment…..
Welcome!
I know you have been asking about meets/events in Oxfordshire and West London, well the new West London Area Coordinator is in post and has a few events lined up. Check them out
West London - MX-5 Owners Club
Hope you can get involved.
I’m signed up for the first West London meet this Sunday coming ![]()
Fantastic - hope all goes well and it’s an enjoyable experience.
First MX5OC meet today and was really enjoyable! Good turn-out, good company and a nice top-down drive out to Windsor and Ascot. Heard at least one person in Windsor go ‘look it’s the MX-5 club!’ to their mates as we went through.
Loved the red NA I was parked next to with the winking pop-ups ![]()
Thanks to Tiago for organising and looking forward to the next one!
Great turn out! Tiago did a fantastic job and I’m personally pleased (being the ex-WL AC) that it was well attended.
Found a secret GoPro mount in the car earlier today…
And my illuminated wind deflector seems to now be illuminating (I’m sure it wasn’t before!)
Whole bunch of custom shifter goodies from wearelikewise.com arrived today. Can’t wait to get this on the car ![]()
Of course before I fit the new shifter I need to figure out how to non-destructively remove the wiring harness for the OEM illuminated shifter currently in the car….
New Likewise shifter in. Really pleased with it, and since it’s modular I could change bits later if I wanted.
Interior really starting together now ![]()
Still want to replace the gaiters at some stage, and the gauge faces.
Do you know which illuminated shifter was fitted? An illuminated shifter knob was not standard fitment in the 25AE. It was available on the 2014 NC3 models as a factory option, but I’m not sure whether it could have been specified with a 25AE.
(And, if you’re thinking of selling it, I may be interested…)
