Stainless Exhaust

Is there a stainless 4-2-1 downpipe available anywhere in the UK for a 2004 MK 2.5 1.8i Euphonic NB18P, all I can see is one on ebay USA at the moment http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-05-Mazda-Miata-Exhaust-Headers-MX-5-1-8L-Header-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem20b5f0ffd3QQitemZ140491423699QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories ?

Hi, had mine done in August, £250 for backbox, fitted, would defo recommend them

That does seem expensive for just a backbox, is that single or twin exit?

I bought this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120636806448&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT for a 2004 1.8 Mk2.5 Euophonic NB18P

Which looks like this when next to the original part…

As you can see, its too shorts.

I am building a MEV Exocet kit car http://www.mevltd.co.uk/exocet_gallery.html, based on the Mk1 / 2 & 2.5 running gear.

What do I need to do to get a working (legal exhaust)?

Or do I have to buy a decat pipe like this http://www.japspeed.co.uk/Mazda-MX5/Exhausts-and-Manifolds/Mazda-MX5-1.8-Decat-Pipe/p-11-72-176/ and change post testing?

Not sure exactly if its a 2004 registered car i would have thought you would need a cat, imo a good sports cat would be the way to go, a 200cpi one that will give exellent midrange torque and good topend power, my local garage does these for £200 fitted, the website is www.1stopperformance.co.uk
