Sticker/transfer removal from paintwork

This is a sensitive question, and please don’t be upset if reading Steve, but I want to take off the name stickers the previous owner of my new Mk2 put on the bonnet and rear light panel of the car. They are high quality transfer/sticker type. Anyone know what I use to gently remove them?

I removed some stickers from mine when I first got it; gently warmed them up with a hairdrier then carefully peeled them away. Any residue which was left (which was basically the outline of the sticker) was easily taken off with Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover.

Worked a treat; just don’t forget to pop some polish over the treated area to get some protection on the paintwork.

digging up an old post here but

for removal of vinyl graphics or stickers there is a handy rubber wheel called an eraser wheel or toffee wheel

insert into a drill and buff them off without damaging paint. Easy peasey and job done.
