I’m amazed at the number of people who have problems with cars they have just purchased from dealers. These guys normally claim to service the car before you collect it - sometimes making you wait a few days before handing it over, but it would seem they seldom test drive the car which would let them spot so many of these basic faults.
I think that many of them think that they can get away with a quick oil change which is about the only thing you can easily check nowadays.
Maybe the answer is to insist on another test drive with the salesman before you complete the deal but if it’s a “new” 5 you probably can’t wait to zoom zoom off into the distance with the top down!
Well, I picked the car up for the 3rd time of asking today!
Pulling to the right fixed, it ws the tracking.
The other big fault was not being able to start the thing without sitting in the car for ten minutes waiting for various warning lights to go out on the dashboard [:@]
After almost two weeks of messing about, turned out to be a £1.50 relay!!
We were so close to rejecting the car on grounds of not suitable for the job, but hopefully now its sorted at long last!!
Glad its all fixed - let’s remember its a buyers maket - the motor trade is on its knees, even more reason why we should not have to put up with service like this…
