Strange starting issue after driver's side flooded

So…went to start car this afternoon…guess what…yep it didn’t start grrrrrr.
Ok so I am inclined now to think that the battery may be on its way out. I put voltmeter on it before cranking and it was at 9.6v so between yesterday and this afternoon it has lost a lot of charge. Checked the battery when the engine was running and it was outputting 14.9v which is what it usually does prior to watergate lol.

9.6v is terminal…
Sorry about the pun but you’ve either got a serious drain or it’s foobarred, if that’s how you spell it.
Halfords sell AGM Yuasas, which are excellent. You can use your moc discount

Thanks 999to5. I think it is probably gonna be battery. However even with discount halfords is very expensive. Seen exactly the same battery on eBay for just over £60 and in my current climate that is going to be the option lol.

So battery has arrived…yay…ten minutes in and out lol…even partly refitted the breather pipe… discovered it’s missing small tube to plug into the negative side :frowning: but been for a drive and stop started a couple of times…yay battery holding its charge. Now the rumble at front to sort out.
