I have been a club member since August’08 so I have limited knowledge of past events, but as a suggestion, why not a gathering at the Brooklands museum at Weybridge. I do one day a week (Tuesday) as a volunteer Steward here and can have a dig around to see what is available if people think this would be a good idea.

I used to live in Byfleet at the back of Brooklands Race Track, and went to School in Weybridge, now living in Kent since 1989, anyway I am looking to do a motor racing legends run next year for the South East members and anyone else who wants to join in, from Brooklands Motor Museum to Goodwood run so maybe you could help me out and let me know a suitable date it would have to be a weekend, hope you can help

Brooklands is a great day out, the museum is absolutely fascinating and just to walk on the banking and imagine Barnato and the rest of the boys doing 100mph +…her’s a pic of a recent '5 OC visit, I’m sure Dave won’t mind me borrowing it

We’ve been a few times over the years (it was a Spring Rally venue one year), most recently with the Planet MX5 gang, but nothing to stop us going again. Tagging onto Sarah’s planned trip in 2009 sounds like a good starting point!

the email. the best thing to do is for you to give me an idea of the date/s you
are planning to do this as we are so busy from March through to October, but if
there is a small amount of cars I am sure we can add you in somewhere. If the
dates clash with some other events you may not be able to get in the Paddock
though. Obviously I would need timings that you intend to arrive at Brooklands
and leave the site….

Brooklands is a fascinating day out, what with the museum, the track, concorde, the Sultan of Oman’s private plane AND Mercedes Benz World next door to go and play in.
