Nigel French has volunteered to lead a drive around the New Forest on the morning of Sunday 1st February. The plan is to meet in the car park at Morrison's supermarket, Totton, SO40 8AD (off A326) from 10:30 ready to leave at 11:00. The drive will end up at a pub for lunch (details to follow).
There was great support for our drive in January, so please give the same support or even better for Nigel's. Please keep an eye on this post, and the featured events (from the OC home page), for further details or changes.

Unfortunately I’m going to miss the meeting on Wednesday (unless I can get a lift back from Manchester in a helicopter!). Will definately be there on the 1st though.
Just to let you know that Nigel has told us that the drive will end at The Fighting Cocks at Godshill (post code SP6 2LL).
Apparently they have a large car park and are happy to accommodate us for lunch in a
separate room. If there are not very many of us (which we hope WON’T be the case!!) we can use the pub or
restaurant area. Nigel assures us that they have a great range of beers and the food is very
reasonably priced.

Thanks very much for a great drive in the New Forrest Nigel. I thought i new most of the roads out there. Just posted our photo session on YOU TUBE. Will get the matches out next month to keep my eyes open again. Great to see every one.
Thanks for a great drive on Sunday - really enjoyed my first car club outing! If only I can rig my camera to work out how to take a pic of all those 5’s in my rear view mirror…!

Really dissapointed that I didnt get along, sounds like you had a great time. I was sniffing, sneezing and coughing and sadly decided that staying at home in the warm was the sensible option (plus I was told I wouldnt get any sympathy if I felt worse as a result of spending the morning in the freezing cold with the roof down!!)

We did take some photos, although more of them are blurred than we’d have liked! Will sort out somewhere to put them when I have a mo, since I know Nicola’s also keen to see them.
For anyone who’d like to see our photos from the drive I’ve loaded them into a photo album on the MX5OC web site … I didn’t realise that facility was there until I discovered it “by mistake” a few days ago! I then saw that Mark has loaded his photos there as well.
For anyone else who doesn’t know of their existence, from the home page go to Club -> Photo Albums. Then take a look in the “Area Events” Category. Unfortunately most of the “action” shots are blurred, so we must try to do better next time! Although I loaded the photos in the order we took them, for some reason they appear in the Photo Album in a random sequence!
