Agree with @bally3 as a easy fix…I had a suspension refreshed on my NB and after this had a similar experience. I had a horrible metallic sound coming from the rear nearside. The mechanic said this was because the suspension was now stiffer and the drop links were under more stress and were 20 years old. I was planning to replace these anyway, after replacement the issue was resolved.
