It is a way of moving the thread to the top of a list and also into the recently viewed section, so others will see it as active and current.

Obviously if it had been the RED brigade as we know bumping would not have been required.

 You’ve been in Oz too long Geoff.    B.R.G. is a traditional colour which never dates. Blue is a fashion colour.  Not as bad as Porsche orange but you get the idea !!
