Hi
Are there any plans to meet anywhere on the Saturday.

Colin

Hi Huggie,

Due to other commitments, we personally, will not be present on the Saturday but some Solent members are going on the Saturday and will be in the allocated parking area. Whether they are planning to meet up at Tesco Winnall or not, for the Saturday, I do not know.

On Sunday, we will he there with the Area Gazebo and looking forward to a good day.

Regards.

Mal

Good evening everyone,

Got my ticket and hoping to be there. The car still needs some tinkering but she’ll be driveable.

Cheers
Charlie

Cheers, Steve.

Hi Mal

Hi Mal
I have tickets for both days and would like to join your group for the Thruxton Historic on the weekend, if possible.
As i am coming from Blandford, it might be easier to meet on site. What is your group ETA, so that i can roughly coincide ?
Richard Owen, Wessex member Mx5oc

Hi. Anyone got plans to meet for drive there on Saturday or Sunday? Winnal services has been mentioned

Possibly going Sunday from south coast, assuming tickets are available at the gate?

Hi Everyone, greetings from Piccardie in France,

I have seen a couple of member queries, ref Thruxton Historic this coming weekend. To this end I have just rung and spoken to Elaine Jell at Historic Promotions and she informed me that access to our allocated track-side parking area is between 08:00 and 10:30. She is sending me the final details in an email tonight ot tomorrow but I suggest that on Sunday, we meet up at Tesco Winnall, Easton Lane, Winchester by 09:00 at the latest, to leave promptly at 09:15, as it is a 30 minute transit to Thruxton from there.

For those going on the Saturday, I suggest the above timing information would be useful for you also.

For those making their own way to Thruxton, I have been advised that car movements are not allowed between 10:30am and 4:00pm.

I will provide any updates to this info, once I receive them from Thruxton.

Regards

Mal

Thanks Mal. Profite de tes vacances

Hi Guy; Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la piccardie😎

I’m going to call into Winnall services at 9.00 on Saturday and will join up with any others that are there.

I’m happy to meet at Winnall on Saturday. Nigel

I’ll see you there👍

Hi Everyone,

Here is some late info just in from Thruxton on how to get to the venue and the correct Postcode to use to access the site.

DIRECTIONS TO THRUXTON CIRCUIT.

Please use postcode SP11 8PN if you are using sat Nav as this will take you straight to the Circuit do not use any other postcode, the site has some historical postcodes and these will take you through the villages or to a trading estate which is down an unadopted road with numerous potholes.
When you exit the A303 you will see local signs to Thruxton Circuit, please ignore signs to Thruxton village.
As you approach the Circuit you will pass the entrance to our 4 X 4 and Karting Centre on your right.
Proceed along the road for about 300 metres.

On your right you will see a steel sculpture signing the main entrance with the chequered flag design to the right and left.

On the Left hand side of the entrance there is a gateway / entrance into Car Park A1, please make your way Through the car park remaining on the track where you will be directed by event staff to the correct gate and allocated display area.

Club members who have ordered tickets online for collection on arrival will need to collect them and their display pass from the main ticket hut in car park A1.

Gates open at 08.00am and we are asking club members to arrive by 10.30am if possible. Those participating in the lunchtime parades on the track should arrive earlier to allow time to register with the crew in the car clubs’ area.

With assistance from our own marshals and security team, the lead person or marshals from your club will be responsible for parking up your members within your allocated space. Anyone leaving before the end of the day will need to be escorted from your display area to the car park (where they can make their own way out). They can be escorted by a member of your party, the car club organiser or if in doubt, one of our security staff. Any vehicle movements in public areas must be conducted with caution and at no more than walking pace.

See the website for the race timetable and circuit information.

Thank you for supporting this event, we hope that your club members have a great weekend at Thruxton and enjoy the racing, open paddock access, and exhibitor areas. Tickets also allow access to the Land Rover Legends event.

What an excellent day of racing, and superb weather too. A few photos from Sunday…
