Tickover 2010 Mk3.5

Hi all, My 2010 3.5 ticks over at about 750rpm when warn, is that right? Also when I pull away sometimes it seems the revs drop and I automatically over Rev . Is there a sensor or something braking down?

That’s normal tickover speed - mine’s been the same since I bought it new in 2012. I think your pulling away thing’s normal too - need to put a few more revs on when engaging the clutch. I think these have a lighter flywheel than other cars hence less inertia therefore more responsive but easier to stall (that’s what the salesman told me eight & a half years ago anyway!)
