Transmission noise - Squeaky/Cherpy (getting louder)

I have a Eunos Roadster, when the vehicle is in motion there is a shrill noise coming from underneath the vehicle, when traveling slower for example in 2nd gear the noise in more of a regular cherping noise. It sounds like somekind of bearing, depressing the clutch make no difference, the noise is present when the vehicle is free wheeling. (Braking gently or applying hand brake doesn not effect the noise)

If you allow the vehicle to free wheel and then change through the gears you can influence the pitch of the noise.

The noise is not present when the vehicle is stationary and Idleing.

Any ideas?

Could be a propshaft universal joint starting to seize. You’ll need to disconnect it and check it for tight spots.
