Anybody remember Kung Fu with David Carradine? And Monkey??

Currently introducing my grandson to Thomas the Tank Engine. (The originals that is, not the cartoon monstrosity they’ve turned it into now.)

I was offered a seat on a school day trip in 1957 to see Kariba Dam while it was being built, “winter” time when it was not quite so flaming hot.
The plane from Salisbury to Kariba was in a tubby little CAA Viking. Our return trip was in a more comfortable Dakota.
We were lucky; a few months later my Dad mentioned in an off-hand way that our Viking had recently crashed.
CAA stopped using the last Viking and used Viscounts thereafter, only slightly better.

My favourite was the Banana Splits. Now that show really messed with my head :joy:. The other that I don’t think has been mentioned here was Catch Candy. Anyone remember that?

Absolutely!

We used to have some old annuals (Beano, Dandy and others) and I remember asking my Mother why Mel Smith and Griff Rhys Jones looked so different in the photo (actually the one you’ve posted) of Alias Smith and Jones to how they were on TV

It is interesting how itv’s itvx streaming platform is showing the originals of old childrens programmes again, for example the original Bernard Cribbins’ voiced Wombles, Cosgrove Halls’ Count Duckula, the original (as narrated by Kenneth Williams) Will O’ The Wisp etc. etc. etc.

At least even if it is now a monstrosity they ackowledged their roots (or should that be routes  ) by uploading the original pilot episode on their YouTube channel…
