Un-lurking

Hi all thought I should say hello as I’ve been lurking here for a while just arming myself with some of the useful info on the site.
I went out yesterday and after test driving about eight different cars finally settled on a 2003 MK2.5 1.8 which I am desperately hoping will prove to be a good example.  I must say though that these are some hardy little cars, even some of the ones I drove that had no service history and looked to have suffered from some neglect all still felt wonderful to drive.

Welcome Mark!

You are quite right (and sensible [8-|]) to take your time before buying. Sounds like a good model you have chosen and you wont regret it.

Get some pics up when you can and let us drool I mean see [;)]

greetings Mark

enjoy. you will never stop grinning while driving.

Cheers people, I hope so.
I used to have a smart roadster which was a great little car in its way.  However I found it to be a bit frustrating, every time you did anything that might be too much fun all the electronics would take over and point the thing back in a straight line.  Also the gearbox, aarrghh the gearbox, and the leaks and the broken AC pipes.  The smart roadster is a handful of minor changes away from amazing.  Not that I’m wanting to go drift racing or anything like that but a little waggle from the tail is what RWD is meant to be all about and after driving a few I’m pretty sure that the MX5 is the car I should have had in the first place.

G’day mate, Welcome to the Forum

The 2.5 is the best model!
