Recently we have had some occasions where for sale threads have been hijacked by people publicly challenging the seller on price asked or other elements of the advert posted.
In addition there have been more frequent instances of people sharing personal information that could be useful for nefarious purposes when put together with information gathered from other sources.
We will be changing the forum logic so that it is not possible to reply in the forum thread to a for sale post.

The rules currently say that ‘It is strongly advised that all contact between buyers and sellers is carried out via the PM system.’

To send a PM

Click on the Avatar [Profile Image] of the person you wish to send a message to:

This will load their profile box, click on message:

The message dialogue box opens with the person you wish to send a PM to in the address box. In addition a link back to the thread you were in is included. When you have typed what you wish to say then click ‘Message’ at the bottom:
If you have been sent a message.
When you have been sent a Personal Message you will receive this in your Inbox and a green number will appear over your profile picture to the left.
Click your profile image to scroll through all your notifications .
