Bromley Pageant of Motoring Bromley Pageant of Motoring is still the biggest one-day classic car show in the world! Hi Everyone This year lets get together and make a large Stand for our Area, let me know if you are interested in coming to this and I will get further details on the club booking price for us. Thanks Mazda Chick The Bromley Pageant of Motoring, the world’s largest one-day Classic car show, will be promoted exclusively under the Classic Car Weekly banner in 2009. The Pageant is established as something of an institution amongst enthusiasts from all over the world. Where else would you find more than 3,000 classics in one place! It is a superb celebration of this wonderful way of life - a true flavour of a by gone age - and provides one of the best opportunities available to soak up Bromley’s unique atmosphere of friendly club stands, displays and fellow enthusiasts. This year’s Pageant is building on previous years and promises to be better than ever with a number of added attractions, making this a great day out. Bromley Pageant is famous for its one-make section where vehicles of each make and model can be entered and parked together. From Ford Cortina’s to Aston Martins more than 1600 cars featured in this area last year. Entries are now open for this incredible feature. Entry for the vehicle is free (both driver and passenger require tickets) and includes a free show programme and entry plaque. There is so much more with a huge Cars for Sale area, Fun Fair, Steam Engines, Trucks, Motorcycles, Modified Cars, the list goes on AND not forgetting one of the biggest classic vehicle trade shows in the UK with hundreds of Autojumble stands, and trade stands including the latest products, parts, services and new vehicles on display.  UPDATE

I have spoken to the organisers and they will be able to allow us a special club display, usually up to 15 cars, however I have managed to let them enlarge on this Quantity Maybe 30 plus cars, so if you wish to take part in the South East 15/20 celebrations, then it will be Admin fee of £5 per car this includes driver and one passenger and the minium fee will be £75 for 15 cars. So I need a minimum of 15 cars so start sending your cheques This will allow you to park on our MX-5 Owners Club Stand. If you only want to visit and come along for the day and do not wish to show your car, please use the booking details as previously advised using the 24hr booking line you will not be able to park on the stand if you do the booking yourself.

Please send your £5 to me in cheque format payable to( Live Promotions Events Ltd) address (59 The Street,Adisham, Kent, CT3 3JN, then I will send the booking form to the events organiser. Please ensure you add your name and address and telephone number on a seperate piece of paper.We will have special passes to get into the grounds. I will hand them out at our convoy meeting point or post them if you are going direct, once I get them from the organisers.

The date for the 2009 Bromley Pageant of Motoring is Sunday June 14th. The venue will once again be Norman Park in Bromley, Kent.

Yes I know the Southern Coasters have a stand, as you may recall I have visited it before and been to the show 3 times, let’s hope it will be dry this year,  but we will be having one for the MX5-Owners Club again this year, as we missed last years,  this will be part of the 15/20 Celebrations

Hi Everyone Just to confirm, all the members that have given me £5 for there ticket do not need to phone any further numbers for tickets, I am getting them for you and will hand them out or post them to you. The list so far that have paid and have a confirmed space on our stand at Bromley. I have not received the post yet this morning so if your name is not on the list but you have sent a cheque over the weekend do not worry. Please send cheque as per the flyer to ME (Sarah) payable to Live Promotions Events Ltd. PLEASE SEND BY END OF FEBRUARY. There is limited space on the stands,minimum 15 cars and maximum 30 cars. I am sure some of you will be split between Southern Coasters/SE Roadsters stand, being members of both clubs,  however I will try to get us next to each other then there will be a very large display of cars, lets hope the Southern Coasters will ask for the same.

I have sent the tickets in the post to everyone who is coming to Bromley and have paid there money to me, please for those that are on an IOU please can you pay me on the day, Please can you arrive before 9.30am if you are on the stand as the show opens to the public from 9.30am onwards, and they will not let you drive around after this time. You will only be able to get in with the ticket and car hanging display that I have sent you so please do not loose it. I will be in the 15/20 car and will not have my own car with me, hopefully we can set up a 2 hour change over for people to help sell raffle tickets on our stand, it is going to a good cause so all the help would be greatly appreciated.

We’re driving up from Worthing via the M23 & M25 East bound. Aim to arrive by 0830hrs.

We are going - if you want to meet up we could do so at the moat at wrotham if you like - otherwise we will go direct as wrotham is a couple of miles in wrong direction for us - Send me an email if you want to meet up

 We will be going up the A2, M2, A2 route so will not see anyone from the M20 directions so will see you all there hope you all got your tickets I have had some confirmations already.

We will get there between 8am and 8.30 am as we got to drive the 15/20 car and then set up Gazebos, banners, and balloons, taking Martyn’s car now, not going to insure him to drive my car too expensive, plus we can get tables and chairs and all the above in his boot so much better idea, plus we have a back up vehicle entrance ticket so he can park in the back up vehicle car park,

If you need directions as some have asked, go to google maps and put the post code in of your home address and post code on the tickets and it will give you directions.

I have 1000 plus raffle tickets to sell for the 15/20 car so hope you will help sell a few.

 Just a quick note to all exhibiting on Sunday…

There seems to be a bit of confusion regarding tickets…

The letter that comes with tickets says that “driver & vehicle will gain entry with the window hanger”

The exhibitor ticket also enclosed is where confusion starts… My interpretation is that this must therefore be for the passenger, but this is not certain so please be aware that passengers may have to pay at the gate.
