Using car covers in cold weather

My car “cover” is called a garage!

I wish mine was!

I live in a flat so I rent my garage, which is about 3.5 miles away. An extra expense but I’m protecting my “investment” for future enjoyment.

I’ve got one of those grey windscreen covers with small magnets in the corners. It fits a treat to my NC and keeps the frost off.

I can’t remember the cost (I’ve had it for years..) but it was only about a fiver.

Does the job brilliantly.

It was my daily drive until this winter, so now looking for a larger cover to keep the weather off.

As a note about using water. I’ve done that all my life (Clocked up 1.2m miles about 6 years ago, then stopped counting..) and never had any trouble. Just cold water from the tap is always warmer than the frosty window.

Rick.

I agree with ND12, buy the half cover from MX-5 spares, they reasonably priced and let alone protect against frost and snow, but will stop water penetrating down the back on soft tops and the grommets on the front.
