We've got you covered. Outdoor cover recommendation for my NC

I didn’t like to say anything but that cover did look a bit loose and a scratchy type material, take s look at Classic Additions covers soft material and a very snug fit, no chance of it moving around even in a gale! I personally wouldn’t let that Sealy one near my MX5, I used a similar one on a Scirocco and it was terrible, worse than not having a cover at all, caused micro blister too. Sorry to sound so negative.

The price difference is also classic baabaa? :grimacing: It would be nice to find a cover that does not make all that awful mess on cars, but does not cost the price of a mortgage?

Your right about that Richard, for me the cars is a keeper in good condition and low mileage and I have no garage and no prospect of one so I just about managed to justify the cost :confounded:, as I say I have experienced what a looser less soft and breathable one can do and it would cost a hell of a lot more than a Classic Additions cover to put right! I do hope you find a good one at a reasonable price and I know there will be lots of folk on here keen to know of one, me included. Good luck,
Kind regards Dave

After my experience, I’m now thinking of this cover.
But £209… Gulp! :face_with_monocle:

My car was sitting for 5 days. Covered in fine pollen dust.
And a small dry poo from a bird. So maybe worth buying.

I’m on my second prestige half cover and it’s superb. The first one lasted 8 years before it started to disintegrate inside and therefore leak. It discoloured from black to grey in around 3 months though, presumably from the effects of UV. The new (ish, got it second hand from another member!) one was black and is now turning grey, but still 100% waterproof. I’ve just bought an “Ultimate outdoor car cover” from classic additions for £195 so I’ll report back on how effective it is when it turns up.

Cheers!

Update on this cover. Truly outstanding piece of kit, keeps the car clean and dry even in torrential downpours, has lasted brilliantly, just as good now as when I got it. We have a Motor Home and park it in a secure space, I often use the MX5 to go and collect it and leave the 5 behind in it’s vacated space with the cover on, takes 2-3 minutes to fit and is very snug. It is completely wind proof even in last year’s gales. I highly recommend it.

Cheers!
