I have been observing the drivers of all things 5 for some time now and have come up with the following:
Mark 1 Mainly driven by men over 50 and Lesbians -all ages.
Mark 2 Mainly driven by women over 40, with the look of divorce about them.
Mark 3 Mainly driven by handsome men, sexuality unknown.
So where do you fall or have I got this wrong???

mine has only cost brakeparts (calipers) over 5 years. that is except for the tuning, noisy pipes induction kit etc. but that was my choice not neccesity. spelling?

27 year old male with MK1…and i agree that this thread isn’t pointless and neither is any thread, horses for courses. I am starting to detect a element of snobbery and a definite split between people on this forum between people who just love the 5 but don’t enjoy in the slightest bit getting their hands dirty under the bonet (me) and those that take the thing apart every weekend. I could go onto all the techie posts and say exactly the same as for me they are pointless too.

I don’t want to get my hands dirty I just want to be able to listen to my Paris Hilton CD at full volume haha… It is good to see this topic has opened up a debate, although there seem to be no lesbians here! I was just stating my findings (all be it limited!) As for Captain Muppet well how rude! Next time I’ll be sure to post a thread about the latest alloy gear knob and which tyres give the best traction in the snow!
