I believe when adhesive badges are applied on the production line they use a template. I would suggest the best way of doing a job like this would be to start with a strip of 2" masking tape. Mark out lines and lay out the letters. Once you have them in the correct position draw around them and then use a scalpel to cut out the letters. You then have a template to position on the car. Stand back to look if it is straight and adjust if needed. Then you have the correctly positioned template with outlines for the individual letters. Stick through the holes and remove the template.

Been thinking about clears for my black NA. What don’t you like about them?

I was gonna say that the “Skyactiv” badge didn’t look right to me either.
I am all for debadging…

They do use templates Mate, but arnt always straight lol

I just prefer gingercators on a white car, any other colour clear all day long. The ones I took off were from IL motorsport

I had the same ones on my blue MK2 - should have swapped the originals back on again before I sold it. If you decide to stick yours on the classifieds, could be tempted…

Fixed the rattle in the hard top by adjusting the catch bolt which pulls the roof tighter to the screen. Easy job with good instructions on here.

Tidied up the corrosion coming back through a previous tidy up job on the boot lid by the previous owner. This time, I’ve applied POR15. While I was there, replaced the bulbs with brighter versions

Sometimes the car really IS my baby.

Unfortunately found rub marks on the top and rear of the driver’s rollover hoop during roof washing, another ND common fault coming to visit me FFS

Taken my Sport Black in to have a few very minor dents removed…

I went to pick it up and was asked by Andy, the dent guru, if it had ever been in a hailstorm as he had found loads of dents, other than the ones I had pointed out. It had been in a huge storm in France before I got it in 2013.

All extra work was completed for the original quotation.
If you’re in the Loughborough/Derby area and need a dent specialist, then Andy’s Dent Repairs is the place.

Coated my roof today with Renovo (two coats).
Also removed the Bose as it’s failed. Not had any audio for 4 years. Awaiting the more modern replacement.

It’s amazing what those forward sensing cameras can do nowadays!

Tinted the rear NC1 tailights red with E-tech spray on amazon. Can was only 150ml and I would have liked a few more coats so buy at least 300ml can if you are spraying yours. Covered my a coat of clear. Also stuck on a 75mm circle over the reverse light for legal reasons.
