I only use Android Auto in the CX-5. Navigation is fairly useless without live traffic, and I think Mazda still charge for traffic updates. It’s bad enough having to pay for them in the MX-5.
I had a replacement double din head unit (Pioneer) fitted to my NC,works a treat with Apple CarPlay,Spotify,Waze etc.Almost doubled the pleasure of owning it!
Ive been continuing with polishing my mk4.
Only managed a few pannels tonight. Very pleased with the boot lid, no lore swirls
And repainted the roof last week
Which products did you use…?
Wash and vac all the carpets on my NC. Just needs to dry off only damp will be fine in the morning. Not a lot of dirt came out as it’s got mats fitted. Not shure when it was last done as i only got the car mid october.
Is that an Ultra Racing strut brace?
I bought the 1993 Eunos 5 years ago, a recent import. It had MeisterR coil-overs fitted and lowered but I had to adjust to standard height as Cambridgeshire roads meant a lot of scraping.
Today the suspension, springs and top mounts were all replaced and wheel alignments made. The charge was 4 hours labour in all. Despite the official Mazda workshop manual saying the fronts could be done without any other disassembly necessary, the mechanic decided to undo a bit more as it was getting difficult to compress everything without risk of damage.
A twisty ride home was certainly different, the car drove like a car, no longer like a skateboard! Much more comfortable drive, but I’ll have to remember it won’t corner quite like a scaletric car anymore.
Oh, the joy of going over Cambridgeshire rubber speed bumps without the crash bang wollop at 5 mph.
Overall, a good decision I think, I don’t track the car but do drive it a couple of thousand miles on our crappy roads, not as “crisp” on the road but certainly more comfortable.
The mechanic said everything under the car looked good, bushes, despite their age, all good, adjusters for alignment all free and little/no corrosion anywhere. Agreed that being off-road Nov-March is sensible. Overall, feeling happy.
Your car looks amazing.
yup it is
Thought so, same as mine. I can see you like a nice clean engine bay, too.
Also noticed I need to fill up the screen washer water bottle
It’s been 2 years in the making, but this happened today! Gone from being absolutely rotten from the inside out, to a pass with zero advisories.
Beyond happy!
Installed an mx5things roof controller, so can now open the roof while moving with just the unlatching required. Wish I bought one of these straight away, what a simple but game changing upgrade - not bad for £165 delivered!
Bullitt still Work in Progress [MOT until Sept…some Advisories]
BUT her owner had to also acknowledge your success for personal reasons

My 95 Eunos is still on stock springs (again, Cambs/Norfolk roads!!); I fitted a set of stiffer ARB’s, which gives good bump compliance & tightens the handling up in the twisty bits.
Yep, that was my next thought. Will have to wait for a couple of pension days first
