I’ve got some more stickers to apply.![]()
Never really been away, just paid my subs.
After 23 years of ownership, my NB now satisfies one of the dreams of 5 year old me. It now has electric aerial.
Next, to work out how to get pop-up headlights. ![]()
Another visit to Vincent for an MOT. Clean bill of health!
Couldn’t help but ask him to add some 25mm spacers and an alignment…
Might look a tad aggressive…
That looks great. Is that on standard height bilsteins?
Im considering 25mm spacers on my nc3 & will be happy if that is the result
I’m on MeisterR ZetaCRDs, but they’re set only slightly below stock NC2/3 height. Lots of bumps and holes and god knows what.
Will probs plump for the Maxton skirts to complete the look.
Wheel refurb, Mazda upper front arms and HardRace rear toe arms fitted…
Stock wheels done gloss silver again and freshened up along with the recently fitted Kumho PS72 in 215 guise.
The HardRace rear toe arms allowed for a little more adjustment in the rear toe and when I was buying replacement Mazda arms, the Mazda rear toe arms weren’t available. Alignment is dialled in now and quite sharp but improved stability at all speeds. No noticeable firmness, noise or disruption from these rose jointed arms over stock.
However… there’s still an annoying issue with (what I think is) the front left. It feels loose at slow speeds, initially thought it was tire pressures but they’re all fine now and habit now has me checking them 3 times a day, at least. Exhausting. Longer bends it feels fine, slower speeds and/or choppy roads there’s a “disconnected” feeling from the front left. There’s a new caliper on both fronts, new discs and pads all round so my next step is replacing the tie rods.
If anyone has any ideas, here’s what I’ve done:
All new arms, front and back.
New ARB bushes and drop links
MeisterR ZetaSport
3x Alignments
New tyres
Re-checked balancing
Wheel refurb
I’ve never had hydraulic rack issues before so not sure if there’s play there that might be the issue but Febi inner and outer tie rods sitting in the garage and came to less than £80 for both sides so might fit them and see where it’s at.
I see what you mean, rear looks perfect, but perhaps a bit much at the front, 20mm might be better, you just need to remove disc and replace wheel studs, easy enough from what I’ve read.
Fitted (well my local garage did) Cobalt rear exhaust box and Delrin door bushings to my 2023 ND. Early days but liking the exhaust.
Just added the finishing touches to the door project. The red is slightly mismatched, but it will do for now.
Where did you get those door pulls? They look awesome.
Thanks mate, I’ve ordered myself a set and hopefully I won’t get stung by customs.
I had no customs issues mate. sailed through.
I think the rule is over c. £135 they charge you tax. Found that out with my Japanese wheel.
I’ve not encountered the customs duty charge at all though .
ND mot day
(P/S, the post was meant as a general reply to the thread, but for some reason I replied to Wardy lol)
Took the car for a Run out and Popped in to mazda to get a trade in Price for the ND/RF shes done 5002 miles,… for the ND3 …
think I will keep it…
Fitted new front ABS sensors to my NC. Started getting ABS/TCS warning lights lighting up and staying on (first occurrence was on a tight bumpy left hander) but went off after I stopped and started the car. Same thing the day after on a similar bend so I took out the sensors from the front hubs (guessed it was likely to be the front) and cleaned them. This made the problem worse as the lights then came on when the car was started, went off after a few yards then came on again after another few hundred yards. I don’t have a code reader but the sensor mounting brackets all looked pretty crusty so replaced both sensors and, so far, seems to have fixed the issue. Pretty straightforward apart from separating the connectors behind the arch liners which were quite difficult to get a hold of whilst lying under the car. MX5 Parts discount came in useful.
