Bridges of Light event, Worcester, Wednesday evening.
Just booked a trip, last night in fact……![]()
To Krakow?
Yes….. good to hear you rate it so highly- it’ll be my first visit
Krakow is a beautiful city, loads of things to see from a very interesting past.recommend the bonerowski palace hotel.allow yourself at least four days to see all .
It really is a lovely city. Lots to do. If you’re feeling brave then visit Auschwitz. I’ve now been twice, Im part Jewish on my mother’s side. It is very very moving! Bit crowded now with tours but still worth the effort as the guides are brilliant. It’s an emotionally tough visit though.
No one has ever put a photo of me on the internet before.
Thanks for info.
We visited Dachau just north of Munich some years ago. Another daunting place.
Hi ND12!
Can you tell me what you view the night sky with?
I have Celestron 15 x 70 binoculars but they are heavy!
My main camera is a Sony a6400 and my best lens is a Sony E 70-350mm. My Xperia 1vi is good for those star photographs but not so good for moon photography!
I did try to line up my phone’s camera with the binoculars using different brackets but not successfully!
I have time now to explore photography and the night sky!

Hiya,
More a case of did use. I haven’t been into it for years. Now I just kind of read around stuff to keep abreast of stuff.
I used to like Revelation 20x80 binoculars. Like you mention, heavy and makes things a bit bouncy in the field of view. I used to do lots of variable star stuff with them.
Those photos you did were great. If you look up ‘Novas’ and doing Nova hunts, you could photograph particular bits of the sky (more milky way area, where Nova’s have a higher probability of occurring), and re take the same area of the sky on different occasions, you could see a ‘new star’ appear, which would probably be a Nova. Takes a lot of patience that stuff!
ND12,
Thanks for your reply, lots of reading for me!
I will try to get some star photographs with my a6400 and post them.

No fog lamp.
Went down to the lagoon at our local estuary for a picnic and a stroll. Spotted this Swan family - must be Spring! (iPhone photo so not the best.)
Up at Lake Windermere, weather appalling and water levels rising. Could be worse, could be the owner of this rather nice Alpine…….Thankfully the MX-5 is tucked away in the garage on the South coast.
Oh dear ![]()
Still, they have a reputation for being pretty light. Perhaps it’ll float? ![]()
Suggest they are on southern hemisphere time so as far as they are concerned it is!
You can’t tell from the pic, but the only way out is forward and into far deeper water!
Yes, horrendous. Imagine being in that position. Someone you wouldn’t wish on anyone.
