What is the most popular 5 Colour

Sorry mate, green is a mix of yellow and blue

If we are talking paint which we are i admit defeat{#emotions_dlg.anhitwall}

However if we was talking overlaping projectors and CRT scanners which we are not then the primary colurs would be Red, Green,Blue not  Red, Yellow, blue {#emotions_dlg.bigsmile}

i never realised until just now asking google, how many trios of primary colours there are.

its all a matter of opinion & industry apparently.

long live google cause i did not have a clue what Jeff was taling about{#emotions_dlg.anwhistle}

 Hi Geoff, I recon you just picked the best name,  The Exclusive Group Big Smile

Thumbs up

Still not primary colours, as I said before green is a mix.

Quote from Panatone, the indudtry standard for the printing industry

The primary colors are red, blue, and yellow. These colors
cannot be mixed from or formed by combining any other colors, and they
are the basis for making all other colors.

And let’s not forget BLACK and WHITE, which are not really colours at all…Whistling

so what is coal if not a black colour? Big Smile

Primary colours - cyan / magenta / yellow … according to my better half who’s a printer !

Best colour- Silver, easy to keep clean in my hard water area !!

Also known as CMYK [the K=key colour which is black]. It’s based on the colours masking ability on a white base, these are Printers Primaries [30 years in the trade as an engineer]

I’m sure he’d agree as he’s been in the printing industry for the same time ! all i know is it makes his hand and clothes a mess what ever colours he is using !!!

That I can identify withWink

Slightly off topic but what presses did you work on Geoff? I work for a major press builder.

Roland Size 8 4 colour, Roland Favorit 4 col, Crabtree Sovereign s col, Planeta 4 col, 2 col 1 col. KOrd…I’m sure that there are others, but memories etc. I also worked on a whole variety of composing room stuff and finishing equipment. I worked for William Clowes [Becles], you may have heard of them?

To save the thread, I’ve sent you a pm.
