What's your other car?

A Skoda Rapid diesel. Sips fuel, pulls a caravan, lots of room inside, has carried numerous bags of rubble to the tip when working on the house, and is easy to drive (so my wife loves it).

I have a bike too (In fact 2 of them, one goes into the MX5’s boot!)

A Peugeot 3008, this is the 3rd one in less than a year!

1st one mileage was getting to “that point” so the hire company took it back and gave me a replacement.
The replacement was the GT line, with a sport button
That had to get replaced with the standard model a couple of months later after I hit a dog (killed it outright) doing 50mph on a 60mph road - it ran out from roadside vegetation - countback on the dashcam 1, (nearly) 2 from it appearing to be hitting it - I never had a chance!

The Peugeot will be getting replaced (soonish) by a Vauxhall Insignia - getting moved on to a lease car at last! Had plenty of choices from the list - that one was the cheapest for tax with reasonable power (1.5 l diesel) - all the Peugeots were/are diesels.

What bike is that that fits in the 5’s boot.I am looking for one.

You killed a dog…that’s not a Christmas eve story…I’ll put the little one to bed after she’s stopped crying :rofl:

It’s a Brompton, i have one.

image As retirement beckons this is my last repmobile. Got my MX5 in October as an early retirement present. Love it. First car I have owned in 30 years.

Its the Brompton P6R, with the telescopic seatpost so the saddle can be removed, just goes into the boot of my NC with the puncture kit removed from its spot.! There’s a thread somewhere about the ND4, and also an old one of mine on this subject but I can’t locate it

The MX5 is the daily along with the Type R when the Dog is with us. The Griff 500 is my real toy & the only one I spend money on other than servicing. Took it out yesterday just for a blast & came home with a silly smile on my face!

We are spoilt for choice, Mazda or the Boxster with its extra luggage space which comes in handy for long touring trips.

Seen here in Brescia at the Mille Miglia museum where the Mazda has also been.

Really enjoy this as a daily drive, nippy and 50+ mpg, probably the best value Vauxhall I have had, as I used to work for them I think we must have had more than fifty, everything from a Nova to a Monaro.

There’s a bit of a red theme going on

I also have a BMW 540i, it’s pretty quick but quite discreet. Not sure if it’s a keeper, but if I do it will be remapped to circa 450bhp

I’ve looked at a 2019 540i, it’s on my maybe list for next spring. The B58 engine is truely phenomenal, so smooth and sounds incredible. My M140i with the same lump goes like the clappers too.

CX3 - Still a Mazda fan! Its a great little car for four people even with its small boot. 48mpg and drives well too.

Sticking with a theme i have an X5 and an MX5! Family vs fun. Although the X5 is an MSport so not exactly boring but not as much fun to throw round the corners.

Kia Stinger (2 litre petrol - couldn’t afford the V6!)

Suzuki Vitara 1.4S Alldrive (mine) and Fiat 500 1.2 (hers)
The MX-5 is ours.
