Wheel offset, OEM or alternative?

Hi…have been speaking to BBR about their Alleggerita wheels. They say they use 17x7 with an offset of 37mm on their Mk4 MX5s with Brembos (same chassis and brakes as the 124)…which, they say, improves the stance and handling.
In that I’m concerned only with handling and braking and not appearance I’m reluctant to move from the OEM offset of 45mm.
Should I be concerned …or not?

Theres no right or wrong answer as it depends on what wheel you use as each wheel can be made with different offset.

Many thanks … seen that video and many others. Essentially I’d appreciate hearing from anybody running an et other than 45 to learn the effect of changing the OEM scrub radius.
