Where have you been in your MX-5 today?

Drove up the west coast of Cumbria to St Bees, one of my favourite driving roads. We had a walk along the cliff top path towards Whitehaven and had a picnic in a little secluded cove (Fleswick Bay) on the way. Beautiful weather if a little cool.

Ah yes! Downtown Skipton… It certainly has changed since I were a lad. No chance of being dinged there nowadays!

Heath Lane, Smisby.
The 10% hill I used to time trial up not so long ago :man_mountain_biking:.
Easier with the top down…

After hiding behind the settee watching Homes Under the Hammer from Stoke-on-Trent I thought I would brave the mean streets of North Staffordshire.

An amazing photo – good enough for one of those glossy magazines that dentists and estate agents have on the waiting room table!

It was where I put my 1965 MGB in the sales photo. Set it off nicely.

Thanks, David! You’re absolutely right! She’s been great! Never let me down, looks lovely and I will be spending more time in and on her this year. Also, the pennies are coming out for her too! Lucky lady!

I went up to my daughter’s for lunch on Easter Sunday. 140 mile round trip, glorious sunshine all day, top down all the way including the M3.

I took advantage of the ISOFIX fixing points (those Japanese think of everything…), fitted my 5-year old granddaughter’s child seat, and gave her a 10 minute trip in the MX-5. First time ever in a convertible - she was beside herself with excitement!

Don’t think she could have looked happier if you took her to Disneyland.
