Where is the MX-5 steering Stop?

 My wheels seem to turn  to far and clunk, is there a stop like this http://www.trustmymechanic.com/parts_gallery/steering_stops.htm
if so any pix would be cool. ps can it cause any damage if missing ?

 There is a stop someplace, but never heard it being a cause of a problem. Steering noises can be fixed by changingthetrack rod ends, or the track rod. Some have also reported improvements retorquing the steering rack and frontsubrame bolts.

The steering stop on the MX-5 is inside the rack, not like those external 4WD type things.
