Where to buy Mk1 MX5 tan quality car mats that wont interfere with pedals

  1. My model of MX-5 is: Mk1 green/tan
  2. I’m based near: Norfolk
  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Car mats that are secure, safe and well made

As per the above, I have a green MX-5, tan interior.
Looking for quality carmats that wont move around and will not cause the pedals range of movement to be affected, or catch on them.
Preferably matching the tan colour

Do people add mat hooks/clips to stop the mats moving?

Ive had crap/cheap mats before and Id rather buy once and buy quality.
Please advise.

An earlier post in the forum referenced these TUCKIN99 Floor Mats For Mazda Miata MX-5 (89-05) | REV9 however the images are incredibly low resolution.

Check with Mazda. Brown V-Special mats might be available to order through your local dealer:

£135 a set. That doesn’t sound too bad for probably the best set of mats you can get, even if VAT is charged (pricing might be adjusted by now). My experience of ordering JDM parts through a friendly Mazda dealer is that you are only charged the catalogue price (I ordered brand new Eunos Roadster seatbelt assembly, and it was actually a bit cheaper than the UK spec part).

I once had a mat move and somehow hold the accelerator near wide open throttle which was somewhat disconcerting to say the least.
I now use industrial strength double sided foam tape to hold mats in place.
