We in the Western Area had our own area forum on the old set up but it’s disappeared and it appears the only way to get it back is for out ACs to get it set up and they will be the only ones to be able to post to it? As we originally set up our own area section because our ACs dont use the forum we are now a bit stuffed!!! Why not leave the old scheme of having an “official” posting area for ACs and an “unofficial” one for other people who dont have the AC’s priviledges???
No reason you can’t have a Western Area, Area Disscussion forum if you want to use it. What is your Area called officially? I can’t find Western Area in the settings to switch it on. The only thing that may be an issue is moderation. The idea is the Area Disscussion forums are moderated by the AC. Maybe a forum user from the Western Area could be designated as Mod for the Western Forum.
Thanks for the reply - as far as I am aware the Area is called the Western Area (that’s what the OC Main Site calls us). I’d be happy to be the Moderator although I’m not sure what that involves and I’m no expert on websites. Our ACs are Jerry Gann and Karen Gough but as I said they dont really use the websites. We had our own section on the old forum along with all the others that now appear on the new forum (called Western as far as I recall).
Oh dear. it looks like the Forum Hamsters have forgotten to set Western up. There should be the same on here as the old Forum and there was defo a Western before. I will sort it out right away… Sorry for that…
