Which Cat Bypass Pipe?

I have just ordered a cat bypass pipe from MX5parts.co.uk and have already measured my cat which is 330mm long. I have read on the MX5parts site that my 1.8 should have a 440mm fitted. It looks as though someone has put a 1.6 pipe on there. Is this right or do some Eunos 1.8’s come with the shorter cat?

Before I ordered mine I slid under the car with a measuring tape. Quite easy to check, just measure between the flanges on the cat.

 All Eunos Roadsters came with a 370mm cat, the same size as the original 1.6 MX-5 and Miata cats. 
The Japanese cat has a Heat sensor in the side (which isn’t fitted on any but the Japanese market cars) and that “special” cat only ever came in one size.
PS Don’t worry about the Heat sensor.  It’s next to useless (just lights a lamp in the dash if the cat overheats) so just disconnect it.

Thanks - that is it.  It is 370mm which answers some questions.  It will have a new shiny cat bypass pipe and twin exhausts later this week.  Cannot wait!

just wondering, anyone know what would fit my 1.8L 1996 UK mx 5. I bought the car and am picking it up on friday so cant measure it

A 1996 UK car will have the “long” 470mm cat.
