Whining steering wheel NC3.75 2.0

  3. I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: whining steering wheel

I took the car out this morning and afternoon, and when I turn the wheel round to full lock (either way), there’s a whining sound coming from the steering wheel. The power steering fluid in full (albeit some black gunk at the edge of the thread (external).

Could anyone provide any advice before I go to the garage?

It’s quite usual for the ps pump to whine at full lock. Cold weather may make it more noticeable.
