Announced this morning that Bob Harris will not be returning to broadcasting following recent progression of his prostate cancer for which he’s been undergoing treatment for 20 years.
He will absolutely be missed, both his country show and Sunday afternoon 70’s show have been must listens plus his past output has been like no one else.

I met Bob twice - first when he was signing his first book in Cambridge then when I won tickets to a special evening with Dave Matthews at Maida Vale Studio in London.
From watching him on OGWT as a teen to listening to his radio shows over the years and making me spend money on new bands/artists!!! I have a loads of his Saturday shows in both tape and digital format - even managed to get a couple of requests done!
Hoping he can overcome this setback with his health…
