I’m currently zero for six at the moment. 1 x NA, 3 x NC and 2 x ND
Ignored… or just not seen?
I’ve exchanged a couple of waves in the last few days.
But in both cases this was while changing gear, and the best I could do in a second or so before we passed in opposite directions was to raise fingers on the right hand while still holding the wheel with thumb and palm.
Perfectly acceptable.
Got a wave from another NC owner yesterday, The roof down opposite side of the motorway passenger put both her hands up and waved like crazy. I could only manage a half wave in return because I was watching the car in-front of me because I had the feeling it was going to do something stupid and I didn’t want to be anywhere near it when it did.
Oh no, they do look. Puzzled, but they do look.
That is a shame then. Ah well… keep the faith!
Only got one wave out of four to’day. That was a silver NB . The rest where 2 NC’s 1 RF ,
Passed four mx at a double roundabout( in the opposite direction obviously) waving took second place to navigation but deffo two waves. I suspect they were part of an event that commemorated the passing of the Truro Mx specialist Phil Brooking.
ND to ND wave today.
Lovely Other Half was particularly excited at receiving a “headlight wave” from someone in an NA going the other way when we were out driving in Derbyshire on Friday (while she was driving us)
Four waves given today, two returned. From my ND to all NCs. The two that didn’t return the waves looked at me like I was a crazy person
I’ve had one of those and you can’t help but chuckle: it’s like a cartoon in real life!
Out to’day got a wave and a light flash from a NA . I was only at the end of my road. Went over the southdowns one RF and a ND not a wave but then it is all’ways like that.
Waved from my ND to a NC yesterday from outside the window.
Not even a glance.
It’s not an ND thing……
Snobs!
I’ve waved at a guy with a NB that is a ■■■-paper off the ground and has wheels that are busting out of their arches and have appropriate amounts of camber. Are you surprised he didn’t wave back?
I believe he may frequent another forum.
You can’t say I didn’t try😀
Was he wearing a baseball cap back to front?
Just lately I’ve had quite a few waves returned, mostly from NDs, wasn’t having a great run prior to that - this is in Derbyshire. I find Mk3 are the worst for returning waves, and generally note that women are far less likely to wave - I would guess because women are less likely to be enthusiasts?
If the roof is down I usually shove my hand above the windscreen or out to the side so it’s obvious, I don’t mind embarrassing myself! Little waves from within the cabin can be easily missed or obscured by reflections and glare.
