Yes, I guess I shouldn’t have been actually driving along the A4 near Savernake Forest at the time. However, I blame Bambi’s mother for not teaching Bambi that running across the road in front of cars in pitch darkness without looking first is stupid.

The current insurance company have an ‘incident code’ of ‘impact with wild animal’. Seems pragmatic to me.

Hmm, I seem to remember if it is a “Domestic Animal”, the animal’s owner is responsible, and so might be claimed against. No such possibility with a wild one.
Or perhaps I’ve watched too many Rumpole episodes…
