Thought I’d pop this up in case it helps anyone.
Passenger window stopped working today, made a little clunk noise going up but nothing going down.
Console out and switches out, jiggling the wires etc with no change.
In for a penny, I decided to open the switch and see what was what. So I removed the switch unit, got to the pcb which looked fine as did the switch. Nothing scorched. DVM across the contacts showed no continuity so something was wrong.
Switches have clip on fittings which can be opened with care. Insides full of carbon dust and that awful jelly grease. Cleaned everything with a tooth brush and a drop of meths (methanol), put it all back together and Bobs your mother’s brother!
