cheers Dave, guess wot ill b doin lunchtime tomorro
had to happen today friday 13th
Need to do my passenger mirror too as it`s very loose. Clear sealant works as a temp fix untill someone knocks it when walking past but should bite the bullet & see if i can get it apart without breaking the glass i suppose.
Good luck with yours [Y].
done, took no time at all, heres wot i used, m6 (10mm spanner) bolt 60-70mm long, 2x 8mm washers 1x 10mm washer 1x6mm repair washer, 2x m6 nuts or one nylock nut and a spring (this came from an old peugeot exhaust) spring has to b a tough old bird. got to b done up real tight to hold mirror in position but still able to act like a spring, cant find a spring? then dont use one should still work mirror doesnt get moved that often BUT if you use super glue and it does come loose chances are the trim will not come off! to retighten DOH!. when u prise off glass retainin trim with a thin bladed knife using blade not tip of knife it breaks all the little clips so will need either clear silicon sealant or super glue if you cant wait!!! hope this is usefull cheers goochie
