Winter, how often and for how long?

Hi Bulitt, as the ND is parked under car port, a solar charger might work well, as I was reading this morning I came across this

as a last gasp starter if I get in trouble!
But as the saying goes prevention is better than cure

Hi again AlanH2

Concur ‘Prevention is better than cure’ and ‘a Stitch in time saves nine’ :handshake:

but then there is ‘the best laid plans’ until ‘Life, the Universe and Everything’ [which is a major Thread on the Club Forum] gets in the way…drat and double drat

Interesting piece of kit you’ve highlighted ‘Halfords Jump Starter’ but expensive [some posters on the Forum refer to Halfrauds]

However, as a Club Member [I pay £36.00 p.a.] I get 8% Discount at Halfords

Plus 10% Discount off MX-Parts

So in June bought a brand new Panasonic Battery [Recommended for my NB] incl VAT & Delivery for £139.90…Battery Replacement was due as it was 6 years old and just died

Your battery is young

But… Big But…you have an ND which is a far more complex Beastie of an MX-5 so…more things get to go wrong I suspect on the tech side of things

I have no experience of an ND [except they are one handsome looking MX-5 me thinks ]

Hoping ND owners will assist you further

Meanwhile…on a lighter note…have you given him/her a name yet

Most important…ENJOY your ND

And Welcome

Had a Westfield for 5 years a few years back, which was constant upgrades and maintenance. Started off with a 1.3xflow when I bought it which a more practical friend and I changed to a 2 litre zetec, and numerous other such as brake bias adjuster, windscreen ditched and homemade aero screen added. The ND is a world apart technically
Name wise, the Westfield was called “Westie” and the Lexus we have is casually named “Lexy” imaginative eh  so the 5 will have to be “Mixxy “ :grinning:
