Wiper Blade Replacement

Had Bosch blades on for nearly 3 years 30k miles with no issues, kept outside for the 1st of those years inside for the rest, avoid parking anywhere near trees when ever possible. Usually get four or five years out of them.

I clean my wipers blades with vinegar soaked kitchen roll.

I don’t know what type of blades the local garage fit, but they tend to be failed a year or so later at the next MOT.

In fact, due to my car (mk1) having been off road for a few years, the ones fitted at the last MOT, which have never actually seen any use, have the rubber currently dangling off them.

On the flip side, my other cars wiper blades are still good after abour 15+ years…

I’ve seen some people recommend getting silicon based wiper blades as they last longer than rubber.

I’m thinking that with the car being low it is in line for more spray and ■■■■ off the road
