Wiper Blades!

Just revamping my wiper blades and wiper arms, and wondered if anyone had used these type of blades before???

Also if you have, do they look any good??

 Flat ‘aero’ blades are original-fit equipment on my Volvo V70 - they’re very good, the current set have been on there well over a year and are doing as great a job of clearing the screen as they did when they were new.
I need to get a new set of blades for my MX5, and was tempted by some ‘aero’ ones, but apparently any non-Mazda blades have a slight problem with the passenger-side one not having the right curve at the top to allow it to follow the awkward contours of the screen. So now I’m not so sure …

 I used the same on the Picasso - utter poo.
 Didn’t clear the windscreen and squeaked like a vicar+tea.

Ah. that could be the decider, then! I guess that’s the difference between a pair of Volvo OEM aero blades at £30 (bloody good), and a pair of Ebay ones at a third of the price (“utter poo” [;)]).

Well you know what I am going to do? Get a pair, as they are only a tener and find out for the good of the forum!!!

Also my MX is pretty well kept out the rain so it won’t matter to me much if they don’t work to well on the passenger side…

I will report back with pictures!!

Hello - noticed this morning that Tesco are stocking these for around £4 each - not tried them but look cheaper than ebay.

Well the old rusty blades and arms came off!!!

They were given a good rub down, primed, and painted and the new blades put on!!!

And did they sweak??? No they are silent! (or couldn’t hear them cos of the exhust)

Did they not reach all parts of the screen??? No the covered all the bits that needed covering and wiped better than the old ones!!!

Those are the blades as per the Ebay auction  on the end of the link in the first post in this thread, yes?

Yep they are the ones from the ebay link on the first message!!

And the say they have 12 months waranty on all wipers???

Can’t do wrong for a tener!!!
