Wiring a Air/Fuel Gauge.....

as above, loooking to wire in the air/fuel (mixture) gauge, basically so i know the fueling is ok on the car, i got the gauge off a fried, so it’s incurred no cost to me, however there are 3 wires (RED, BLACK and GREY), i know the RED and Black are for +12 Live and - Ground, the problem i’m having is i need to connect the GREY wire to the “SIGNAL” wire or “O2 sensor (HIGH) wire” off the lambda, any ideas??

I took the signal from the wiring loom near the PCM to save running a wire into the engine bay. Trouble is the ECU is shear bolt protected on NB. The lambda sensor plug is on the front of the cam cover on NB and on the rear of in on NB facelift. It’s a black plug with 4 wires.

i’ve moved them wires and extended them when i fitted my sport manifold any idea’s what colour, i don’t wanna short out the gauge, the lmbda or even the ECU :frowning: LoL

Post your VIN & I’ll tell you what colour.

it’s

JMZNB18P200134655

Thanks in advance

4 pin plug, with blue, black/white, black/red & violet/yellow wires. The blue wire is the signal wire.

if i was gay i’d kiss ya, lol
thankyou very much

all wired in, 1 problem theo, it’s not "sticking to 1 place, i got a 20LED version and i thought it’d stick, but instead it’s bouncing right from 1 end to the other, any ideas what’s up, is the blue wire deffo the right one??? it’s also effected when i switch my lights on too, it bounces then too :S:S

It should bounce one end to the other, that’s how the system works. ECU sees the mixture lean off so it richens up, as it goes rich it leans off again. It should richen up under acceleration. Lights affecting it sound like an earth problem.
