There’s a photo of the Mk3.5 facelift in yellow, which is not available in the UK. Looking to get numbers up to put it to Mazda that there is a business case for introducing this colour in the UK. Reason why it is not is unknown, and bewildering!
The reason why it is not currently sold in the UK is not bewildering; very simple. The facelifted (Mk3.5, NC-FL?) model has not been launched here (not until April/May?), and the models available have not been announced by Mazda UK.
To be fair, Mazda-UK/MCL had a pretty good record of bringing over banana-coloured cars., without any interent/community campaign needed. Answer is; hold your horses before you start writing Mr Angry letters to Mazda.
For moving the thread, seems to have caught more peoples attention.
and also for the information about launch. Hope the yellow is available here, not sure why the community forum thinks it won’t be. I’ll point people on that forum to this one and maybe we’ll find out what raised this train of thought.
The reason for the thread is that Mazda themseves have stated that the yellow will not be available in the european market at launch, this is reserved for Japan and the states
Their loss! I shall have one of these instead and keep the Mk3 for longer than i had planned.
I’m sure eventually there will be a yellow mark 3 - there has only been 1 yellow in each mark so far. I’m sure the mark 3 will be improved by the colour yellow!!!
Harco, I do not believe you would buy a renault! [+o(]
Personally I dont like the facelift, the front end looks less distinctive as an MX5 and with the really flared arches it looks more like an RX8. Its taking away what the MX5 is, instantly recognisable.
If anyone wants a MK3.5 early or in yellow try MX5 City in Doncaster, they have been importing BRAND NEW 2.0L Sport MK3’s with the steel electric hood and the Tiptronic paddle shift gearbox for about 4-5 grand less than a UK one…
