Hi I am Steve and at 52 years old got the mx 5 bug bought a 2004 nb2.5 at auction during 1st lock down which I was unable to view at time.
£600 later plus fees and deliver total £900
I knew it was goin g to be a money pit
Pre mot check, YES you got it chassis rail rusted to hell .done them then saw a vid on you tube and got the bug for the v6 conversion Rocketeer by Bruce southley.
Then got my own s type 3.0 v6
And the build began Dec 2020 .
Got completed March 2021.
1 week of wheel alignment and small run out noticed losing fuel. One of the injectors stuck open even though were serviced as recommended .swapped out and on refit other injectors leak. And before I knew it FIRE
Strip down again clean and new wirring . To date just waiting on new engine loom from rocketeer, Been 7 weeks so far early July hopefully. Then hope to meet my new mx5oc members
