I am very intrigued as to why my car has such a low number for a UK car, as from the replies I have had on this thread, the cars in the UK, seem to be in the range of 6500-7500 in number.
Is that it for owners of this marvellous limited edition coming forward?
I know of two more in North Thames but I guess that like many 5 owners they don’t read the Forum.
That’s a shame. I know we all love our 5’s (and roadsters/miatas, before anyone complains, lol), but it would be great to correspond with other 10AE owners. I have fallen in love with their unique colour. It would be great to correspond with more owners in the Midlands, I know of one other owner in NEMS, although his car needs some TLC now.
I have had 7438 for 8 years and still have the original wheels and commemorative owners pack . It had new sills in 2009 and is now in need of a new boot lid after 101,000 miles
I rarely look at this forum anymore, its so messy to navigate around I perfer to use the more local ones which use different software. The old owners club forum was much easier!
Hi all 10AE owners. Sorry to bumb the post but I would like to ask, is there a 10th AE and ltd number badge on both sides of the car or just the drivers side? You all seem together on this post so I thopught I would ask as you are all here.
Thanks
Only on the drivers side
The badge will look like the image underneath my name “unbendiecowfish”, it is oval shaped and should sit just under the indicator on the drivers side front wing. It wil have two numbers, the first will be a number of the 7500 cars, mine shows 1179/7500. This does not mean that my car was number 1179 of the build run as I have found out. There were allocations of this limited edition around the world. the UK had an allocation of 600 cars, although it would appear from some reasearch on here, on this thread, that the UK cars were not a block 600, although we are proud to have the car baring 7500/7500 in this country, based in Lincolnshire. It does appear to be a bit of a tombola as to which number your car was allocated. It would be nice if someone somewhere had started a database of this edition, as of yet I have not found one. Someone gave me a supposed link to such a thing, but I have never managed to get it to work.

Hi Everyone,
I have had my pride & joy since 2005 when it had 19,000 on the clock. Now on 42,000.
Lots of bling on now, used to be in NW Mids, now moved to SW Mids area. Number 7194/7500.
See you all at the spring rally.
I meant the NE Mids!
so what’s the bling then Evie ?
mine was1645/7500
Still within the club and still supercharged
sadly thinking of selling ours in favour of a newer model
That’s interesting. I wonder if Scotland got some random numbers, as your number is a lot closer to mine than other UK cars. Mine car was originally registered in Edinburgh.
Regards Martin
Mine (1645) was bought from the first owner, in Northampton
Very weird, the allocation of the numbers. It sounds that someone’s hand just scooped up the badges out of a parts bin and sent them off with the cars. There obviously is no logic to the numbering.
Many thanks to the lady who lives in Morton, Derbyshire for letting me have a chat with her about her 10AE, first spotted at the Shiny car wash in Alfreton, I turned round and followed her until she pulled up in the lay-by at the bottom of the dual carriageway. I hope to see you around the Alfreton area, I think your cars number was 4237.
