- My model of MX-5 is: 1992 1.6
- I’m based near: West Sussex
- I’m looking for technical help or recommendations on: Has anyone manage to purchase a replacement tyre for their space saver wheel?
Tyre size is T115 70 14. No trace of that size on line, not even at Camskill’s. MX5 parts sell a 15” road hero kit but I want to stay original and the 14” steel wheel is perfectly serviceable. Thanks
Because they are a rarely used item, and even if you do, it is not worn out by that use, there is only a very small requirement for replacement tyres. Even the main manufacturers warehouses don’t hold them. The market now is for cars that come without a spare wheel and so the Road Hero type deal with the wheel included.
Your best option is to buy one from another MX-5. There must be lots of them about.
You can also look at searching for other spacesavers, from cars that utilise the NA’s 4x100 stud pattern.
