Before I make the purchase, please can anyone confirm that these will fit stock 17” wheels on an NC 2 without any issue please (that being sufficient pocket space behind the wheel to accommodate the protruding studs)?
Going for the 15mm version due to running a wider tyre set up.
As is well documented a 25mm spacer will be too much running the 215 tyre.
If there’s no way a 15mm spacer will work due to the original studs protruding through it and onto the face of the stock wheel, do I just go for a 9/10mm over the existing studs (which would be the safe maximum) and settle for that.
Love to hear from anyone who had the same dilemma and what worked for them.
I also hear you that a change of wheels would fix the problem but don’t have the funds for that yet lol.
Am just reaching out to see if anyone running a 215 tyre on the stock 17” wheel has been able to fit a 15mm studded spacer behind it
In other words, with such a spacer fitted, is there enough recess in the wheel for the protruding wheel studs when together
Because failing that the best I think I can get to improve the stance a little more is to just use 10-13ml hub centric spacers that just use the existing wheel studs only.
I don’t want the added complication of replacing the existing wheel studs with longer ones
The only concern i had with using the 20mm spacers was the likelihood of them rubbing the wheel arches as the cars lowered on coil overs and i’ve read of a few owners experiencing a few issues with that width.
I guess i kept coming back to 15mm as the ideal extra width but that seems like it wont work given the issues discussed.
I think someone opted for a standard 9mm spacer as next best thing but I don’t know if that would make much visible difference
The wheels I’m running are an inch wider and 26mm more poke than the stock wheels/offset and I have zero issues. Provided bolt on hubcentric spacers have enough clearance on your wheels for the nuts and studs I’d imagine you could get away with 20mm for sure without issue.
Edit: I’m lowered on tein coilovers but not ridiculously so.
