16" Tyre recommendations ND

Hi

After my service and MOT I’ve been told my tyres need replacing as they are the original tyres and are cracking on the rim and within the tread.

What do you all recommend as the selection doesn’t seem that great in this size. 195/50/16 on the 1.5

I was looking at Continental Ultracontact 1950/50V (88), but welcome all advice

You’re right, not a great choice. I run the same size, and if I needed some tomorrow I’d go for some Kumho Ecsta HS52s or Yokohama Advan Sport V105.

Kumhos are around £85, Yokos £105. That’s per tyre, fitted.

The Yokos are good driving tyres however the cracking seems to be a common thing. I put Hankook Ventus Prime 3 on mine and would definitely rate them as good summer tyres.
