Been quoted around £300 for a 75k service at MKG in Twickenham. Feels a bit steep for what I believe is pretty much a fluids and pads job (no cambelt - it’s a Mk3). It’s the first service due since I’ve bought it last year. Does this price sound about right?
If you’re getting pads done too then this could add a bit to the bill - I keep putting off buying pads and discs for mine because of the outlay, although I will fit them myself (it’s an easy enough job to do).
Are you an OC Member, if so then you should be able to get a discount at MKG - I can’t remember what they knocked off when I went, which was some years ago now, but something like 10%.
If you are not bothered by taking your car to Mazda then quite a few members use Alan at Cox & Buckles, who is based in Kingston (35 Southsea Road). Details in STHT, but tel no is 07825 991779.
Thanks both for your replies. As it happens I gave Alan at Cox and Buckles a call earlier in the week and his price was a bit cheaper, and given that a bit of googling revealed he has a pretty good reputation, I’ve booked it in with him.
the 75k service is the same as the 2nd year service and I have just paid main dealer price of £160.00 + vat do a price comprassion with the dealers the dealer should be able to do a price match
