Some nice photos of these cars. Note the differences in the interior; different door cars, glossy tombstone, and detail changes on the seats. Where there be a blanking plate on non-PW car, there was a coin slot for toll booths. And stainless steel wheel centres.
Its a US-spec Miata, hence the airbag wheel, which became an option elsewhere from 1991.
There were 12 pilot production Miatas. Most were scrapped; you weren’t able to register them in the US. One though, by chance, got sold on as a used car and ended up in the Netherlands.
