No special edition was red. Merlot is Vin Rouge. (nearer a plum colour)
Also I can’t recall a V-Limited. It could be a S-Special which was available in most colours. V-Spec was only Black or Green. or v-spec 2 white (rare) and Green.
“V-Limited” is a category invented by the ABI as a catch all for any special edition; its usually intended for anything with a factory leather interior. My S-Special II is just a regular “Eunos Cabriolet”.

See this isn’t a special edition; been modded but that’s all.Other (cheaper) insurers didn’t mention V limited at all; but seems an “excuse” for AF to increase premium ??
If AF have picked it up as a V-Limited, thats how how was originally set up in the UK. Probably some lousy importer tarted up a standard import, and called it a special edition. New owner is utterly convinced by importer flannel that he’s gotten something special, and wants to make sure its properly insured. Insurer takes his word for it. I’ve seen imports in red with V-Spec interiors.
How do you know that AF are charging more because its a V-Limited?
You can look up the ABI classifications They are public record.
